Learn About the Different Types of Brake Rotors

Brake rotors come in three main forms: slotted, drilled, and slotted/drilled. Each type offers its own unique advantages and disadvantages. Watch this video to learn about each type of brake rotor.

All three types of brake rotors are performance-oriented disc brakes, so both stopping power and cooling abilities are better than what drum brakes have to offer. Drilled rotors look and perform great, but slotted rotors and slotted/drilled rotors offer the performance advantage, as they’re able to keep the brakes even cooler during heavy braking.
