How to Drive with Snow Chains on Your Tires

A set of snow chains is one of the best ways to give your car the level of traction it needs to handle winter weather. Watch this video for advice from a car repair expert on how to drive with snow chains this winter.

If your chain breaks, pull over immediately so that you can repair the damage or remove the chain. If you don’t do this, the snow chain could end up wrapping itself around your car’s drive axles. Also be sure that you don’t go higher than 30 miles per hour with snow chains, that you give plenty of room in between you and the vehicle in front of you, and that you apply the brakes or steer the car more gently than you would otherwise.
