Car safety is of the utmost importance for both auto manufacturers and consumers. However, from time to time, an auto manufacturer will find a serious problem with one of its vehicles.
In this video you will learn the difference between car recalls and TSBs. Car recalls are the more serious of the two. Car recalls are only used when there’s a serious mechanical defect that poses a threat to drivers. Another important attribute of recalls is that they involve the government. Sometimes, a recall will be caused by a faulty part that needs to be repaired or replaced. A TSB, on the other hand, is not safety related. A TSB, or technical safety bulletin, refers simply to a minor problem that can cause inconvenience to the driver.
