A car’s radiator is how the car gets rid of the heat that is result of the car running. The hot coolant flows through the radiator where cool air is blown through it by the fan. By the time the coolant made it’s way through all the chamber of the radiator, it should be cool enough to return to the engine block.
If the radiator leaks or the hose is broken, the operating temperature of the car would reach a dangerous level in minutes. The car would then need to cool down naturally until it could be operated again.
